Inside the game
Martyr is a platformer game where you control a little green avatar.
It's an experience where we wanted to make the player is supposed to be the bad guy. that's because, more he wants to progress trought the game, more damages he must inflict to the avatar, because it's the only way he can use to pass the levels.
The aspect change of the avatar, its cries and its phrases displayed on the screen, are here to make the player feel bad, just like a sadist.
Victory/Failure : In the game we have 3 kind of situations.
1- If the player, hurt the avatar just enough to pass, he will be able to go to the end of the game and see the final cinematic.
2- If the player hurt the avatar until death, the avatar will die, its soul will ascend to paradis and the level will restart.
3- If the player reach the end of the level without hurting the avatar or hurting it enough, this one will fly in the air and the game will go to the game over screen, where we can see the avatar go away in peace.
So the victory or failure depend on the player's feeling and what kind of choise he will do.
