Which software ?
- Grears of War (The Mine) was made on  the Gear of War Editor (Powered by "UDK")



Who's worked on ?

-  I did the Level Design, scription using "Kismet"



Why ?
That was for my conventional degree project.



Development Time : 3 months.



How much levels? 

- one level, divided into five parts/zones .

Life expectancy ?

- It's about 30 minutes and more, but it depends

on the player's abilities.

Award : No prizes, but the level got the best mark of the class :).

​The main ideaThe focus of this project was to create a compaign that puts the player in a deep mine. divided into 5 zones. every zone is different by the way that we shall pass through, i tried to create different combats way and memorial moment for each zone.

I used several scripts events in the UnrealKismet to guide the player through the map and a serises of cinematics trying to create an immerssive and strongly attractive story.

​The stroy : The remains of a Locust's drill were found in the mine "Ibuzak" 30 miles from the city of Usumbul.

The drill was apparently sent to the earth's surface for a reconnaissance mission, thirty years before the emergence. primary tests indicates that the drill had an accident during its ascent to the surface, but incident causes still unknowns.
Professor "Emma Swan," archaeologist and  Locust technology specialist is already in place to analyze the machine.
The Gears are sent to the mine to protect the professor and ensure her protection, until she finishes these analyzes.
Once there, the team will be aggressively received.



Where we play?

I want to make the player feel that he is really in a mine, by the scenery, the gameplay and an atmosphere taking up the theme of the mine horror movies.



What are the objectives?
Main objective
-Retrieve the professor.



Secondary objectives
-Get rid of the enemies that blocks your way.
-Find the control room.
-Open the door to the waggons.
-Help your friend.
-Don't pass across the Kryll.
-Get rid of the defensive line.
-Survive to the Troika.
-Hold the Wretch until Max opens the door.
-Free the professor and leave the mine.
