-  I did the Game & Level Design, programming and i was in charge of the Sound Design (All most sounds are from "Freesound.org").



Why ?
-Game Zanga Competition.

-"Freedom" .

Development Time : 72 hours.



How much levels? 

- 20 levels.

Life expectancy ?

- About 10 minutses and more, but it

depends on the player's abilities.

Award : FreeDom got 2 prizes at the second Game Zanga Competition, orgnised by "GameTako".

​1st prize : The Best Game of Game Zanga Competition 2012.

​2nd prize ​: Best Construct 2 game.

​The main idea : With FreeDom,i tried to make something very simple and addictive. I didn't want to communicate about the theme by the story or the main character's background, but i tried to create rules and mechanics who can communicate themselves about the "Freedom"
the idea was to use something like, the claustrophobia to make the player feels stressed and push him to try to reach the "EXIT" point.​

 

In the game

​The stroy : It's not a story, but FreeDom is based on the famous Palestinian cartoonist Naji Al-Ali’s “Handala” character, is a skill-based game.

 ​

​The Rules :  The player, acting as Handala, must navigate a maze by rotating walls to walk to the exit. The limited number of rotations seem easy enough to use in the beginning, but the game gets harder.
